I find myself looking at my digital clock from time to time and noticing not just the time but the numbers and or the pattern. I remember my mom always noting when the clock said 11:11 and saying that it was time to make a wish. I think she still does to this day. I always like to see 12:34 for its significance of all the numbers in a row, and there are other times like 2:22 that if you were to spin it 180 degrees, it would still be the same time, and most people know about the significance of 4:20.
As my mom did, we all tend to assign significance to these specific times, but you could come up with a reason that any time on the clock could be significant in some way. It could be a friend’s birthday, something that happened at this time on a day in the past, or you like the combination of numbers. If you tried, you could come up with some reason that any number or minute is unique.
I know that this isn’t truly possible. You cannot spend every minute of every day in deep thought, but taking just a few more throughout your day and turning those minutes into special minutes in your life taking that minute while you’re standing in line and thinking positively about something. And it doesn’t even matter what. It changes the temper of your whole day. And if you can do that, just a handful of times, think how a day, a week, a month, or more can be affected.
After all, there are 1440 minutes in a day. Take a handful of them and brighten them. Spread that brightness to a few others, and you will be astonished by the results, I promise you. It will be like a drop of ink in a glass of water. It will spread to all aspects of your life.
For this is how positive energy works. There are two fundamental energies in the universe, fear, and love. Positive energy expands it, and negative energy collapses it.
Everyone has those days where you feel like nothing goes right and everything seems to go wrong. You cause it yourself. You may ask yourself, how can this be. Well, for instance, you wake up and stub your toe. This incident causes a bad mood from the very beginning.
This lousy mood sends you down a negative path which can be self-sustaining if not halted. So then you proceed to your next task where something else goes wrong, you spill your coffee, for instance, because you are still attracting that negative pattern from the earlier incident. This pattern can continue and can and will continue to spiral out of control all day and into the next and theoretically through your entire life if not nipped in the bud. The trick is to notice yourself going down the path.
As you notice yourself collapsing into one of these paths, you need to take a minute, one of those sacred minutes, and reset. Turn that minute into a positive one. Sometimes it’s not easy. That dang toe hurts. You might say to yourself. But is it worth having a bad day over it? So, by just taking 60 seconds to reset, you could prevent the horrible day from ever starting.
Take it from me, the latter choice is much better. Separating the event from your emotions can be difficult, and taking that minute can be a challenge, but it’s worth it. As my clock now reads7:21, I am taking this minute and choose it to be sacred. I prefer to share it with you, and it is my dearest hope that you will take one of your minutes and share it with me.
Very Good
